Get Started: Livepage Overview

Your personal space on Mixlr

When you create an account on Mixlr you get your own Livepage. This is your own personal and customisable profile on Mixlr. This is the place people will visit to listen to your live broadcasts.

TIP - Every Livepage has a unique URL. Yours will look something like this: http://mixlr.com/my-name

You can direct your listeners here so that they can listen to you live, follow you and more.

Customise your Livepage

After you have created a Mixlr account, we suggest you customise your Livepage to give it your own personality and make it stand out. You can add a profile picture, some artwork, a biography and add a link to your website or blog.

TIP - Check out our guide on how to customise your Livepage first.

Your Followers

On Mixlr listeners can ‘Follow’ you by clicking the '+Follow' button on your Livepage. Your followers will be alerted via email and app notifications whenever you start a live broadcast.

You can see who follows you and who you follow by clicking on the ‘Followers’ link under your artwork image.

See who is listening

On the right hand side of your Livepage you can see information about your current listeners. Mixlr lists the current number of listeners as well as their Mixlr usernames and profile picture if they’re logged in while listening.

When you see ‘+listeners elsewhere’ in the listener list, this refers to anyone listening that isn’t logged into Mixlr. They could also be listening on your website via a Livestream URL or on TuneIn.

TIP - Learn more about what you can do with Livestream URL.

Share with friends

Anyone can share your live broadcast on social media or email by using the four buttons on the right side of your Livepage.

By clicking on the Facebook icon for example, your listeners can share a Mixlr player with their friends. Their friends will then be able to listen to your broadcast directly from their Facebook timeline. There are also options to share on Google +, Twitter and via email. You can also create a Mixlr Event and share that with your friends and followers.

TIP - To learn more about Mixlr Events see this article.

Every Livepage has chat built in. You and your listeners can use the chat box to have a live conversation while you broadcast. By clicking the heart icon your listeners can show their appreciation for your broadcast.

TIP - If you are using the Playlist feature inside the Mixlr desktop app, the name of the current track playing will display inside the chatbox.

Save broadcasts on your Showreel

When you publish a broadcast with Mixlr it will be stored in your Showreel. Your fans can access your Showreel from your Livepage by clicking on ‘Showreel items’ located below your artwork.
