Broadcast live using a Mixlr playlist

In this article we're going to show you how to broadcast a playlist live using our broadcast application.

Step 1 - Choose your audio source

You will see three channels; Playlist, External Source and Microphone. You can broadcast using just one or all three of these at the same time if you wish. Here we will explain how to operate the playlist.

Broadcast any local audio file using the playlist option:

Select Open Playlist:

There are two ways to upload files to the playlist:

1- Drag and drop:

Select the file(s) you wish to add and drop them in the Add Sounds area:

‚Äč

2- Manually:

Select Add Sounds :

Choose which audio file you want to use to add this to your playlist:

Continue adding as many audio files you'd like to your playlist following the same method.

You can reorder your playlist by dragging and dropping the files using this icon:

Simply right click on your track to play it, remove it, add further tracks and clear the playlist:

You can also use the seek bar to skip and pause your tracks whilst live:

Step 2 - Go live

Once you've setup your broadcast and given it a title and category, you're ready to go live!

You can go live directly from the channels view or from the admin view, the choice is yours:
